Duke Blue Devils (32-6) vs North Carolina Tar Heels (28-9)

History is not on UNC's side in this one as there have only been two eight seeds to ever make the NCAA Championship game and only one has ever won the national championship. Duke's offense has to be considered the strongest remaining in the field and the Blue Devils have really put on a show offensively in the tourney thus far. Duke has put up at least 78 points in each of its four wins in the tourney so far and that includes putting 78 on both Arkansas (11th best defense in the nation) and Texas Tech (#1 defense in the nation). UNC's defense is outside the top-35 in the country in terms of adjusted efficiency and I really worry about the Tar Heels' three-point defense, which is ranked 205th in the nation. If Duke is getting good looks from the perimeter, this game can get ugly as the Blue Devils are a top-30 three-point shooting team and have shot the ball very well from deep in this tourney. Although Duke's defense is nothing incredibly special, it does defend the three-point and two-point shot well and really does a great job at limiting fouls. UNC's offense will have to come from second-chance looks, but this Tar Heel team is nowhere near as strong on the offensive glass as they were last season. Duke has the #1 adjusted efficiency offense in the nation (even better than Gonzaga) and can put up a ton in a hurry. I look for UNC's defense to struggle at some point in the 2nd half and for Duke to go on a "kill shot" run to end this game and punch its ticket to the Finals.
