Seattle Redhawks (2-0) vs Portland State Vikings (0-1)

Portland State was competitive offensively vs. Portland in its opener but Seattle provides a much tougher defense and does a much better job at limiting turnovers than the Pilots have. Seattle may be without its #1 player from last year in Trammell but there is still a lot of talent on this roster and we saw that in Seattle's first win vs. UC San Diego. Seattle then played a D3 school and sat most of its starters and the Redhawks still won by more than 50. Seattle is the more rested team as Portland State only has one day off in between its road game at Portland and overall I cannot trust this Portland State defense to hold up in this one. Portland State has a lot of new players on its roster compared to last year's team and while there is some talent, it will take a while for the Vikings to gel on both sides of the court. Portland State took 40+ threes in that first game vs. Portland and earned 15 offensive rebounds but Seattle has been a good defensive rebounding team this year and last year and should limit second-chance scoring opportunities. Give me the Redhawks laying the lumber here.
