Marist Red Foxes (7-11) vs Rider Broncs (9-9)

Rider may be on a three-game win streak but I think Marist matches up very well with the Broncs in this one and I like the home dog. These teams played in a close matchup already this season at Rider and although the Broncs won the game by 6 in the end, Rider shot 42.9% from three in that game (11.5% better than its season average). We can't expect those shooting numbers to come through in this road game for Rider, and I think Marist has the upper hand defensively. The Red Foxes are 40th in the nation in 2-point FG defense, which is important facing a Rider team that focuses on two-point field goals. Rider's shot quality date defensively is not great on paper and I think Marist can take advantage of that in this one. Rider is an excellent offensive rebounding team and usually holds an advantage on the boards in its MAAC games, but unfortunately for the Broncs, Marist is a solid defensive rebounding team and actually held the overall boards advantage in the first meeting as well as a 13-9 offensive rebounding advantage. I think Marist should be favored in this game so if you are going to give me some points with the home team, I will certainly take them. Give me Marist.
