Chicago White Sox (58-56) vs Houston Astros (74-41)

I am fading the perceived better team and the public here with Chicago on the ML at home. We are getting a good amount of plus money here and with the public almost certainly on Houston, it may be best to wait to get an even better price. I think the White Sox get to Jose Urquidy early and often in this game and force him to make an early exit. Urquidy has struggled on the road and is coming off an awful start against a Rangers team that has not hit RHP very well in 2022. The White Sox are in the top 10 in team OPS vs. RHP in the last 30 days and top 15 in isolated power. Chicago limits strikeouts at the dish and is coming off of a much-needed sweep over the lowly Tigers, which included three-run line covers as well. Anderson and Robert are out of the lineup but that has not stopped this team as the role players are starting to hit and the team is scoring runs. Johnny Cueto is not my favorite starter, that is for sure, but the Astros have actually struggled quite a bit vs. RHP in the last month. Most of the Astros' offensive success in the last 30 days has been against LHP, including their most recent wins against the Athletics and Rangers (Perez, Ragans, Logue, Irvin). Houston is ranked 26th in team OPS, 26th in ISO, owns the 17th highest team K rate, 20th in BB %, and 27th in wOBA vs RHP in the last month! That is through over 660 plate appearances, so a rather hefty sample. The Astros have the slightly better bullpen, but I think the White Sox have a large enough lead to win this game in the end. I also do like the over in this game. Give me Chicago ML at plus money here. Good luck and thank you for your support!
