Minnesota Vikings (1-1) vs Detroit Lions (1-1)

I think there may be a little too much overreaction to how Week 2 went down for these two teams. Minnesota looked awful in Philly and the Lions won and covered as favorites for the first time in what seems like forever, but I still think the Vikings are more than a touchdown + the extra point better than the Lions at home. That Eagles MNF game was tough to watch, no doubt about it, but that was in primetime and as we know, Captain Kirk does not play well in primetime games for some reason. Now, at home in front of a very passionate and LOUD fanbase, I think the Vikings blow off steam and beat their division rivals pretty handily. I know this series was close last season but the Lions' defense is still not in good shape at all and I don't think Detroit can go score-for-score on the road against a solid Vikings defense. The Vikings have won seven of the last eight games straight up in this series and the home team is a solid 4-2-1 against the spread in the last seven. Minnesota's offense should get back to form here and I think the Vikings make the necessary stops defensively to win and cover in the end.
