The Providence Friars and the Marquette Golden Eagles will be battling in what I think is going to be a back and forth game for all 40 minutes on Wednesday, but I’m going to be honest. I want nothing to do with Marquette after how the Golden Eagles looked against a terrible DePaul team, losing by 7 as 9.5-point favorites. Providence’s loss to Villanova is excusable as ‘Nova’s one of the top teams in the country but to DePaul? I can’t forgive that. I also give a coaching edge to Providence with Ed Cooley on the bench and the Friars are going to have the two best players on the floor in Nate Watson and David Duke, who are also two of the best players in the entire conference this season. I just think the Golden Eagles are in trouble here, so I’ll lay the points with Providence as my premium pick for this game.
