Houston Astros (67-36) vs Boston Red Sox (51-52)

The Astros had some issues putting away the Mariners over the weekend, but the reality coming into this series is that the Astros are simply the far better team and are the only team likely headed towards the postseason this year. The Boston Red Sox just look lost and sending Nathan Eovaldi to the mound likely won’t help matters, as he’s allowed 17 runs, 16 earned, in his three starts since coming off of the IL for an 11.08 ERA, including being the jumpoff point for that 28-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays a couple of weeks ago. Luis Garcia’s been a better road pitcher than at home this season, but the Astros have done way more with far less this season and I think they take it to the Red Sox big here. Give me Houston.
