Los Angeles Dodgers (73-33) vs San Diego Padres (61-48)

I get why the Padres are a trendy pick, as they made the most moves at the trade deadline including the Soto blockbuster. However, the moves were intended to be made to be able to beat teams like the Dodgers when it counts and so far we haven’t seen that from the Padres in this series. Now Yu Darvish goes on Sunday and he’s been solid, but he’s been hittable on the road with a 4.50ERA away from home this season and that includes his lone start at Dodger Stadium where he allowed five runs in six innings in a 7-2 loss. Tyler Anderson was on the other side in that game as he is on Sunday, and is an astounding 12-1 this season with a sub-three ERA. I think the books are waiting for the other shoe to drop with Anderson, but they’ve been waiting for a while and he keeps delivering as the Dodgers have won 13 of Anderson’s last 14 starts and at home, Anderson is 6-0 with a 2.59 ERA this season. IT’s simply been the Dodgers showing the been there done that to the Padres and I think they do it again on Sunday. Give me the Dodgers here.
